The restaurant’s gastronomic ideology is about introducing its guests to the distinctive and the incredibly delicious Caucasian cuisine. Georgian, Imeretian, Armenian, Gurian, Megrel, Svan and Adzharia culinary traditions coexist in harmony at the Mamalyga restaurant.

Chefs from the Caucasus make sure – the restaurant’s dishes fully retain their authenticity.

The menu is regularly updated with new recipes, but, regardless of time of day and season, you can always try the “same” refreshing Ayran, several types of Pkhali, nourishing Pastrami and Satzivi, spicy Dolma and Lobio. And it certainly cannot do without the King of the Caucasian cuisine – kebabs.

Experts in Caucasian cuisine will be pleasantly surprised by the Mamalyga’s specialties – like spicy Kuchmachi or Chkmeruli, stewed Chanakhi or chocolate Zgapari. All hot appetizers are cooked right here: Chebureki, Kutabi, Achma and Khachapuri are served to the tables straight out of the oven. The restaurant’s special pride is food made of corn flour – homemade Mamalyga and Mchadi with homemade cheese.

The interior design echoes the traditions of the cuisine: handmade furniture, vintage pottery and woven carpets. Carefully selected location of each table allows face to face meetings and parties with friends to be equally comfortable. Convenient location of the restaurant – in the city center, across the street from the colonnade of the Kazanskiy Cathedral – makes it the ideal venue for business meetings and talks.

Visitors speak:

Very nice atmosphere, great service. Close to the centre and Nevsky prospekt is the perfect place for dinner. Georgian cuisine.

We had lunch here and enjoyed it very much. The location is convenient opposite Kazan Cathedral and the restaurant is pretty and comfortable but not too formal. The menu has English translations and the staff are very helpful. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.
